About This Coffee
This Ethiopian coffee is cultivated by Adam Banata on his four-hectare, garden-style farm in Nensebo, West Arsi. Situated at 2,064 meters above sea level, the high altitude and cool climate allow for slow cherry maturation, resulting in a coffee with sweetness and complexity.
Adam’s farm follows organic-by-default practices, avoiding chemical pesticides and fertilizers while maintaining Ethiopia’s rich coffee-growing traditions.
This lot is natural processed, where handpicked cherries are dried whole on raised beds for approximately 16 days. Adam and his family carefully turn the cherries throughout the day for even drying and cover them at midday and overnight to prevent condensation. After drying, the beans rest for two and a half months before being hulled and prepared for export, allowing flavors to develop further.
