Kyusu - Black Tokoname-yaki Teapot

Handcrafted in Japan, this Tokoname-yaki (常滑焼) is crafted in Japan with centuries of tradition and skill.

What is Tokoname-yaki? 

Tokoname-yaki is one of Japan’s six ancient kilns, with a history of over 1,000 years dating back to the late Heian period. Renowned for its exceptional quality, Tokoname ceramics are carefully crafted and highly valued by tea enthusiasts.

This black Kyusu (急須) teapot is made entirely of ceramic and features a built-in ceramic tea strainer that enhances tea extraction while keeping leaves out of your cup.

Produced in Tokoname, Aichi, Japan, this authentic teapot is pure ceramic, easy to clean, and designed for everyday use. With a 300ml capacity, it is ideal for serving two people (100-150ml per person).

Its elegant design is complemented by a traditional carbonized finish, achieved through a two-step firing process that gives the teapot its deep black color.
